Greater Bergen Community Action receives 1 + million dollar homeless prevention grant and..

GBCA located at 316 State Street Hackensack has won over 1 million dollars from the TD grant. The grant will allow GBCA to expand its already well-established Homelessness Prevention Program to offer additional rental assistance to individuals who are facing eviction as well as to provide security deposits to homeless individuals living in hotels and Section 8 recipients moving into a new residence.

Clients will also be provided with:A case manager to assess the client's immediate housing needs and help develop an individual case plan with goals and objectives. Individualized housing and service plans for each individual/family to identify specific service eligibility with a focus on locating, securing and retaining suitable housing.
